If you’re into sunsets over the water, unfortunately you probably won’t discover many along the coast of the Riviera Maya. With the Yucatan shoreline facing east, sun admirers must go for the morning glory, waking up early to catch the first rays of dawn splash across the turquoise seas of the Mexican Caribbean.

The good news is, you don’t have to go far to watch the sun dip into the ocean just before nightfall. Hop on a 40-minute ferry to Cozumel and you’ll have a spectacular view of your day coming to a sweet, peaceful end…

The coast of the Mexican Caribbean boasts absolutely breathtaking sunsets. But, early risers and the less lazy are also treated with stunning sunrises that paint the sky and set the jeweled sea ablaze with golden light.

Yet, as we approach Halloween, sunrise aficionados will have to drag themselves out of bed even earlier. On October 28th we have to change our clocks… You know the saying: “Spring forward, fall back!” Officially, we are supposed to push the hour back at 2:00 a.m.

For those early birds who don’t want to miss the sunrise visit the World Clock the Time & Date website for accurate info.
